In the era of streaming and an ever-growing wave of weekly releases, Spanish independent cinema finds itself in a paradoxical moment: production has never been so prolific, nor access so easy, yet the abundance of content dilutes both visibility and impact. In this landscape, how can we connect our projects with an audience already saturated with choice?
The career of Pilar Toro, Director of Marketing and Communications at Filmin since January 2022, has always been closely tied to film and television: from her early days at Canal+, through her time at NBC Universal, where she specialised in social media while managing the online campaign for Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi’s film La llamada, to her role at Netflix España, where she helped define the brand’s tone before moving into the Marketing Department.
